Business Continuity Planning, (BCP) is the process of
developing advance arrangements and procedures enabling an
organization to respond to an event in such a manner that critical
business functions continue without interruption or
essential change.

Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that will address all aspects
of business resumption within their organization in the most
timely and efficient manner possible within the constraints
of the outage.
An effective business continuity plan addresses the
protection and restoration of all office and technology
operations and includes the key deliverables below.
Business Continuity Deliverables
- Procedures and techniques intended to reduce the
impact of undesirable event’s occurrence
- Assignment by BCP team leader of the team members and
assignment of the responsibility for resumption actions
specific to every major operational or functional area
within the department
- Identification of the critical functions, the hardware
and software supporting each function, the impact that
the disruption or loss of the function would have on the
overall operations
- Definition of the actions necessary to safeguard and
restore core business functions
- Procedures for obtaining alternative office space,
equipment and supplies
- Documentation of sample emergency exercises
